1917 Locomobile Custom Coach Work Sales Booklet. Abroad, an establishment that produces motor cars, confines its attention to the chassis. In Paris or in London, the customer buys a chassis and has it deliverd to a body-maker, who designs and builds a body that will express the taste and requirements of the owner. In America, the practice is different. People usually prefer to see completed cars before purchasing. For this reason, the majority of our cars are equipped with Locomobile coach work, open and closed. It is possible to obtain at any of our branch houses throughout the country, with a minimum of delay, an exceedingly fine car, in excellent taste, beautifully finished and luxuriously equipped. A Locomobile Chassis equipped with this special Open and Closed Coach Work cost from $4,600 to $6,800. A Locomobile Chassis equipped with Coach Work, individually designed by our Custom Department and built to order costs from about $5,600 to $8,250. Many images included. Condition: Middle pages just beginning to pull away from binding at the bottom. There is some transfer of images on opposing pages.
