1924 Hassler Rebound Check and Shock Absorber for Ford Cars Sales Brochure. Avoiding good roads--being the log of a tour of two men in a Ford equipped with the new Hassler rebound check and shock absorber. ~250 miles a day for 14 days over the worst roads in 11 states. On June 8th at 7:30am, John Lund and Roy Bess left Indianapolis in a Ford Coupe equipped with the new Hassler Rebound Check and Shock Absorbers. Fourteen days later John Lund and Roy Bess pulled into Indianapolis in this same Ford Coupe, "painted" with the mud and dirt of eleven states, completing one of the severest shock absorber tests ever conducted. This clean-limbed Ford rolled out of Indianapolis on June 8th, ready to smile at any road it had to meet. On June 22nd, this same Ford purred its way up the main street of the Hoosier metropolis, none the worse for its 3,500-mile road panthelon--dirty and muddy, yes--but ready to go right back over the same route--or any other route. Condition: Some tearing at folds. See pics.
