1942-1943 Ford Extra Lightweight Junior Jeep Prototype Concept Press Photo.

Reproduction photo printed on high quality, high gloss, acid free base stock photographic paper. Paper size is 10" x 8". Original scanned photo paper was 7" x 5". Original photo may have had borders, etc, and thus the image itself may be smaller than paper size. Great reproduction of an original image. A memorabilia piece suitable for framing/displaying.

Did you know? The military was looking for an extra light vehicle (mini-Jeep) that would easily fit into cargo planes, etc. Ford came up with this little jewel, but did not actually submit it for consideration. It appears none that were submitted made the cut either. Those back fenders might look more at home on a small tractor, but there they are. Not completely out of character though, considering the tractor tread tires and the 71-cubic-inch agricultural tractor powerplant it had.
