1956-1957 US Army Dev & Proof Services Test of Truck Project TT3-812 Document and Pics. Development and Proof Services Aberdeen Proving Ground Maryland. Test of Truck, Fuel-Tank, 10-Ton, 10x4. Fifth Report on Ordinance Corps Project No. TT3-812. Dates of Test: March 8, 1957 to July 31, 1957. This test was conducted to evaluate the possibility of using several of the unique features of the test vehicle on future military vehicles. For this reason, test operation was limited to that neccessary to determine the capabilities of the vehicle on various test courses. No endurance testing was conducted. The vehicle as a whole proved to be unsatisfactoryfor tactical use, however, the suspension system and tilt cab arrangement warrant further development. It is recommended that consideration be given to developing the suspension system to provide sufficient flexibility and durability for future military vehicles requiring a soft ride. The tilt cab arrnagement should be considered satisfactory for use on cab-over-engine trucks. Includes 8 photos; 7 glossy and 1 on paper. Condition: A bit of handwriting in a couple of places that is not necessarily legible. Hole punched. Some type print has faded in some places as have some Figure references on pages.
