1962 GMC Reprint Article, A Design Summary of Motor Coach (Bus) Air Conditioning Systems from General Motors Engineering Journal. It was as far back as 1934 that GM engineers began their work in coach air conditioning. This long experience, perhaps more than anything else, accounts for the success of today's GM installations. Highlights many of the challenges one faces when dealing with the dynamics of tyring to cool a coach. Summarizes that improvements have been made in individual components and in their arrangement and location, which has imrpvoed weight, cost, size, and thus efficiency. Further improvements of components are expected to continue, but no change is expected in the design of the basic system. Condition: Soiling. Most of it on front cover.
