1963 Mercedes-Benz Daimler-Benz Museum Historical Programme Poster. Original.
The objects on display in the museum, the collection which began in the days of Gottlieb Daimler and Karl Benz themselves, were, for a long time, stored in locked rooms. Only after the Second World War during which the collection suffered considerable losses, were, the few pieces which had been saved put on show to the public in a makeshift room. The ever-widening circle of visitors from home and abroad led the Daimler-Benz Company to consider the construction of a museum of their own for the rapidly growing collection and this was opened in 1961 to makr "75 years of automotive engineering".
Condition: Has a few blemishes and some holes at the folds, but a pretty cool piece.
