The Volvo Group of Companies is (at the time) the second largest engineering concern in Scandanavia. The Group includes several of the leading engineering companies in Sweden and has a total of 17 factories in different parts of the country. Sweden's largest individual exporter (at the time), the Volvo Group of Companies has world-wide exports to more than 130 different markets. It is the aim of this small brochure to give a picture of the historical background of the various companies, how they developed and were gradually incorporated into the Group and how they to-day (at the time) manufacture products of high quality in rationalized factories.
