The purpose of this manual is to serve as a guide to assist in the diagnosis of problems in which the technician has limited experience. It is also to be used as an aid to the service writer in preparing repair orders. The diagnosis charts are designed to lead a technician or service writer to a trouble in a minimum amount of time, effort, and tests.

When using this book, it will be necessary to have a Shop Manual (NOT Included) and a Wiring and Vacuum Diagram Manual (NOT Included) available. Test procedures shown in the Shop Manual are referred to in this manual. All electrical diagnosis procedures require the use of the Wiring Diagrams.

Special tests that are not shown in the Shop Manual are included at the front of the appropriate section of this manual.
