Contents:
Part I - Principles of Refrigeration and Functions of A/C Components
Describes the principles of air conditioning, the functions of basic components such as evaporator, condenser and compressor, and discusses the features of the newest air conditioning system in current use by Ford Motor Company, the fixed orifie tube cycling clutch system. Also included are comparative discussions of other systems in current use as well as systems used previously in production from 1978 to present which may be no longer in production but may be coming-in for service from time-to-time.
Part II - Diagnosis of A/C Systems
Provides guidance in the diagnosis of air conditioning, beginning with determination of the condition, preliminary checks and inspections with the engine off, isolation of the refrigerant system as causing the condition, and troubleshooting guides for pinpointing the actual part or control system causing the condition.
Part III - Service and Repair of Refrigerant Systems
Provides guidance to diagnosis, servicing and repair of refrigeration systems in particular. This includes a discussion on Escort/Lynx compressor clutch electrical circuits and controls in addition to describing the procedures for discharging, evacuating, flushing and charging the refrigerant system.
Condition: Service Training Manuals are used in Classrooms, Dealership Shops, Independent Garages and in Fleet Environments and thus can reflect such use, most often showing extensive signs of soiling, age, and wear. The information within is still legible and can give valuable insight. The images shown are representative of what is shipped.
