As part of the product decision process, Volkswagen Research cooperates with Design to create alternatives which are normally not shown to the gernaeral public. It has been decided to make an exception to this rule to commemoratethe opening of the new Research Center building.

In 1975, a working prototype was produced a size smaller than the Polo. This vehicle, known as the "Chicco", possessed many featrues of the later "Student" research prototypes.

Condition: Shows some wear and age. Yellow age spots on cover. There is a number 2 handwritten in the upper right-hand corner on the back cover.
