The Chrysler Portofino made its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1987. It was the result of collaration with Lamborghini after Chrysler acquired Lamborghini. Even though Chrysler badged, some still refer to it as the Lamborghini Portofino. It is based on a stretched Lamborghini Jalpa chassis. It had vertically opening doors with no B pillars.
