1994 Volkswagen VW Preferred Service System Retailer Guide. Original.
As this was sent to the dealer and there was no real need to keep long-term, this is a bit of a rare find.
VW would send it to dealers to welcome them to the Preferred Service System.
Its intent was to help dealers generate increased service and parts business, thus helping the dealer increase profits and therefore VW.
The Preferred Service consisted of three individual programs.
Service Reminder - This program drew from a dealer's current customer file and based on actual repair order information it would send relevant and timely reminder messages.
Timed Mailer - This was a service prospecting program directed at owners that were not currently returning for service. It would send out coupon-oriented service and parts mailers on a quarterly basis.
Tele-Mailer/High-Volume Self-Mailer - An on-demand service prospecting program.
Pocket inside back of folder holds a pad of ~20 Delete/Add/Change Forms that a dealer would use to add or update customer records in the system.
Condition: Folder shows some soiling/blemishes. First page shows some age/wear as well. Rest is in pretty good shape.
